Reeliant Executive Summary
A guide for teams to familiarize themselves with the MVP and future enterprise plans.
Executive Summary
Reeliant is a SACSCOC-focused accreditation compliance platform designed for higher education institutions. The MVP delivers a fully functional system for managing requirements, collecting evidence, tracking ownership, and monitoring readiness status in real time. Built with Next.js, Prisma, and NextAuth, it provides multi-tenant architecture, role-based access control, and comprehensive audit logging out of the box.
The platform is production-ready today and can be deployed with minimal configuration. The architecture is built to scale to enterprise levels with planned enhancements for file storage, advanced reporting, and system integrations.
Features
- SACSCOC Requirements Tree — Browse all standards and sub-requirements in a hierarchical structure with parent-child relationships.
- Evidence Management — Attach links to external documents or upload files. Link evidence to multiple requirements. Track last reviewed and next due dates.
- Ownership & Review Cycles — Assign primary office per requirement. Configure review cycles: Annual, Semiannual, Quarterly, Monthly, or Ad-hoc.
- Readiness Dashboard — Executive overview with overall percentage, status counts (Ready / Needs Attention / At Risk), top risks, upcoming reviews, and recent activity.
- Real-Time Status Calculation — Automatic Green/Yellow/Red status based on evidence presence, ownership, and review currency. Status rolls up from children to parents.
- Audit Logging — Every change to requirements and evidence is logged with actor, timestamp, and details for compliance and accountability.
- Role-Based Access — SUPER_ADMIN, INSTITUTION_ADMIN, ACCREDITATION_MANAGER, CONTRIBUTOR, EXECUTIVE_VIEWER with appropriate permissions.
- Multi-Tenancy — Support for multiple institutions with data isolation at the database level.
Benefits
- Reduce accreditation prep time with organized, searchable evidence
- Eliminate spreadsheets—single source of truth for compliance data
- Identify gaps before site visits with real-time readiness status
- Scale across multiple offices and departments with multi-tenancy
- Meet audit requirements with comprehensive change history
- Immediate value—works out of the box with sample data and setup in minutes
How It Works
Readiness Logic
- RED (At Risk) — No evidence attached, OR no owner assigned
- YELLOW (Needs Attention) — Has evidence but some is stale or needs review
- GREEN (Ready) — Has evidence, has owner, and all evidence is current
Parent requirement status = worst child status (rollup).
User Flow
- Users sign in with credentials (admin@reeliant.edu / demo123)
- Dashboard shows overall readiness and drill-down to standards
- Requirements page allows browsing the SACSCOC tree and viewing status
- Evidence can be linked to requirements; "Mark as Reviewed" updates status
- Admins manage users, offices, and tenant settings
Tech Stack
- Frontend: Next.js 14 (App Router), React, Tailwind CSS
- Backend: Next.js API Routes, Prisma ORM
- Database: SQLite (dev) → PostgreSQL (production)
- Auth: NextAuth.js with credentials provider
